Timothy S. Camarena has been practicing law for over thirty years. Practice areas include probate, wills, trusts, contracts, landlord and tenant, real property, business formation, and trademark issues.
Tim is a member of the California State Bar, the United States District Court for the Central District of California and the Eastern District of California, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is also a volunteer attorney at Grey Law of Ventura County.
Born and raised in the Los Angeles area, Tim moved to Northern California in 1972 to attend the University of California at Davis, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science. After graduating from U.C. Davis, Tim stayed in Northern California and earned a J.D. degree at McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento. In 1981, after passing the bar exam, Tim relocated to Ventura County to be near family and start a career.
In 1981 Tim began practicing in Camarillo, where he practiced at one firm for 17 years. Tim handled debtor bankruptcy and civil litigation. As a civil litigator Tim obtained extensive experience in pretrial matters, including drafting lawsuits, taking and defending depositions, discovery, and law and motion.
In 1999, Tim changed firms and his area of practice expanded to include probate, wills, trust and estate planning matters, in addition to civil litigation.
More recently, Tim worked for a firm that handled real property and deed issues for a major bank.
